Inner Peace

A counselling service based in Bury

I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling (BACP) working in the Greater Manchester area, and I work in accordance with their policies and procedures as well as having a strong sense of my own personal ethics.
My approach to therapy is integrative which means I use a combination of approaches to suit the individual needs of my clients. The main model I use is the person-centred approach to counselling.
I offer a confidential, professional and non-judgemental service. I can offer both short and long term support depending on what is required.

"..Don't let yesterday take up too much of today.." Will Rogers

I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development. At the moment I am undertaking a course in counselling supervision. My aim is to provide a calm reflective environment in which you can look at your problems and understand how they may affect you. By seeing how they make you feel, think, and react, you will be able to consider where you can make changes to improve things. Healing is always possible when someone is working within themselves and has the help of someone else.

"..In order to succeed we must first believe that we can.." Michael Korda

Individuals are invited to explore their presenting problems with supportive feedback intended to help learn about how the problems came about in order to discover how to dismantle them. I adhere to the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the BACP. This requires my work to be professionally and regularly supervised by a BACP registered supervisor.

"..When someone really hears you without passing judgment on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good. . . . When I have been listened to and when I have been heard, I am able to re-perceive my world in a new way and to go on. It is astonishing how elements which seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens. How confusions which seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard..." Carl Rogers
